Ever seen the videos of how grocery stores are fed, raised, washed, and packaged? Want to know how we differ?
Let's do a little side by side
Diet
- Grocery Store - GMO corn and soy sprayed with glyphosate
- Heritage Homestead - non GMO and organic barley, field peas, and sorghum
How they are raised
- Grocery store- confined in tight spaces, so tight fans have to be used to ventilate so they don't suffocate
- Heritage Homestead- mobile tractors and chicken tractors, moved across fresh grass twice a day. They feel the sun and the breeze. Can scratch and peck their little hearts out
Washed
- Grocery store- chlorine solution. Because of their long wait periods and travel times they must be washed in hard solutions to prevent bacterial growth... that's gross!
- Heritage Homestead- Filtered water straight from our well, our birds never sit thawed long enough to build any harmful bacteria
The difference is stark, and honestly pretty disgusting.
- But good news for YOU, we now have chicken year round. Check out our website for our two box sizes; 4 and 6, or email us with a larger order like 15-30. Either way we've got you covered
